About Fred Motz Builder

Fred Motz Builder, Inc. is a mid-Michigan-based, family-owned and operated company that is one hundred percent committed to our clients and the building of your new home. Raised on a farm in St. John's where he learned early that hard work and dedication are the true marks of success, Fred has worked in just about every aspect of the construction industry for more than 20 years, from hauling lumber to swinging a hammer to sales. He established his own company in 1997, specializing in building a limited number of custom residences each year with the belief that quality, more than quantity, would be his cornerstone. Each and every project receives his personal attention, commitment to excellence and open, accessible communication that have become trademarks of a home built by Fred Motz Builder.

Joshua Knight is the Architectural Designer and Construction Manager for Fred Motz Builder. Joshua was born and raised in St. John’s and resides with his four children in DeWitt. Encouraged to pursue home design in high school, Joshua's first effort was his sister's home, where seeing his drawings come to life solidified his passion for design. He has been in the business now for more than 23 years, utilizing his experience in AutoCAD design and as a seasoned construction supervisor. Joshua will give you the full benefit of his expertise to get your project completed with the quality, timeliness and attention to your budget that you can expect from Fred Motz Builder, Inc.
